How do I disable Call Waiting on my phone line?
Having call waiting enabled can cause you to lose your internet connection when the "beep" comes through over the line. Disabling this feature before you dial will prevent the disconnect. Here is how.

Step 1: Open up Internet Explorer.

Step 2: Click on "Tools" and the top and select "Internet Options".

Step 3: Click on the "Connections" tab at the top of the Internet Options window.

Step 4: Click on the "Settings" button in the middle of the Connections window.

Step 5: Now click on the "Properties" Button at the lower left of the Settings window.

Step 6: Under the General tab you will see the phone number listed. Click directly before the phone number and add the following; *70, Make sure you add the comma. An example would be *70,899-4600.

Step 7: Click OK to close the Properites window. Then click OK to close the Settings window. Finally click OK to close the Internet Options window.
